Cast Poetry in the Footsteps of a Woman Who Is Walking (“I quaderni del
Bardo Edizioni”, August 2018, e-book) is the title of Elisa Longo’s
first book of poetry, and it’s just enough to evoke the author’s
poetics: poetry doesn’t only mean “to make”– the Greek verb ποιέω
(poiéo) –, it also means “to be”, and not only an idea, an image, an
emotion recalled by a spot of color on paper, but much more, it’s an
object on fire that must be handled, it’s a thing that scratches, blows
and cuts and eventually, maybe, it makes you fall in love in the way one
of Marina Abramović’s performances can.
Elisa Longo’s lines have
the long breath of wheat which ripens at every new reading. They are
soft like the flour which makes bread rise. They are also rough as an
iron blade which is rusting under the rain, the sickle with no handle
which has just reaped the field. But that blade is already blunt and
described in the minutest of details, it’s a free line but forced by the
limits of its own body, and palpable as the flesh which wants to blow
up in the mind for falling back new in the hands. This book is a journey
into the world of a dynamic and fundamental poetess; Elisa Longo’s
lines are a boiling magma, a river of words in ongoing transformation;
as a whole they are objective sedimentations taking on density and give
us the weight of their presence without any compromise; they are the
reflection of their own author, as her significant epigraph explains.

On encountering Elisa Longo’s poems, the collection title makes an energetic first impression: poetry is cast into a woman’s footstep. Poetry, therefore, is something concrete, which doesn’t need handling with care. Quite the contrary: it needs (or shall we say ‘it gives’?) strength. Energy. Life. And it is cast into a woman’s footstep. This woman is walking. In the poet’s view, women are the future: thus, this future is definitely on the go.
Just like trees do, these poems look upwards, towards the sky, towards Life. They show the poet’s soul, and touch the reader’s.
On a final note, let us go back to the collection title, to poetry cast into a woman’s footstep. The English language gives it an added value: true, we can cast objects. But somebody (poets, certainly) can also cast a spell. Let us then surrender to the magic of the title, and see where these poetic footsteps lead us.

Nei tuoi arcobaleni ... e altre poesie: Nuova Edizione Artist's Edition di Marcello Buttazzo (I Quaderni del Bardo Edizioni di Stefano Donno )
E allora, ogni volta che leggo nuovi (e vecchi) versi di Marcello
Buttazzo, mi tocca (oltre tutto) pormi delle domande e cercare le
risposte. Alcune le ho trovate e sono rinvenibili nelle varie volte che
di lui e del suo poetare mi sono (da dilettante: ossia – repetita juvant
– per diletto) occupato. Qui potrei, a proposito della poesia di
Marcello Buttazzo, rinverdire (o, se preferite, dire altrimenti) quel
che già ho detto e scritto e del divenire di quel che già ho detto e
scritto (oltre che dell’in progress del Nostro), ma ripetermi (lo
sapete, vero?) non m’è mai piaciuto… Altre (risposte) dovrei (vorrei,
potrei…) cercare adesso, dopo la lettura de Nei tuoi arcobaleni, ma non
voglio discettare di questa nuova (vecchia) raccolta di versi in modo
canonico (l’ho mai fatto?). Antonio Errico, durante una presentazione
d’un libro (non ricordo quale), diversi anni addietro, ebbe a dire
(riferendosi alla scrittura in generale…) che in fondo si scrive sempre
della stessa ‘cosa’. È il mio stesso vedere. (dalla prefazione di Vito

Marcello Buttazzo è nato a Lecce e vive a Lequile, nel
cuore della Valle della Cupa salentina. Ha studiato Biologia con
indirizzo antropologico all’Università “La Sapienza” di Roma. Ha
pubblicato le opere “Canto intimo” (raccolta di note e poesie),
“Considerazione Canti” (raccolta di articoli e poesie), “Clandestino
d’amore” (raccolta di poesie) per Manni Editori, la silloge poetica
“Altro da Sé”. Nel 2007, ha pubblicato la raccolta di poesie “Alba”
(L’Autore Libri Firenze) e “Nei giardini dell’anima” (Manni Editori).
Nel 2008, la raccolta di poesie “Di rosso tormento” (Calcangeli
Edizioni) e, nel 2009, la raccolta poetica “Per strada”(Calcangeli
Edizioni). Nel 2010, la silloge “Serenangelo” (Manni Editori); nel 2012,
la raccolta di poesie “E ancora vieni dal mare” (Manni Editori); nel
2015, la silloge poetica “E l’alba?”( Manni Editori). Nel 2016, la
raccolta poetica “Origami di parole” (Pensa Editori). Nel 2018, la
raccolta poetica “Verranno rondini fanciulle” (i Quaderni del Bardo
Edizioni). Per i Quaderni del Bardo, ha pubblicato nell’estate 2008
l’ebook la raccolta di poesie “Mari che non conobbi”, in vendita su
Amazon. È in uscita per i Quaderni del Bardo la raccolta di poesie “Nei

L'attenzione dell'autrice
è rivolta a grandi figure storiche della matematica occidentale: dagli antichi
Pitagora e Archimede ai moderni Cantor e Riemann, senza dimenticare, a chiusura
di lista, il geniale quanto sfortunato Alan Turing, vittima di quel potere
britannico moralistico e intollerante che ne condanno' la
"diversità". I versi, oltre a ricordarci con pochi tratti le singole
problematiche, ci informano dell'humus esistenziale-esperenziale dei

Laura Garavaglia è nata a
Milano nel 1956. Vive e lavora a Como. Poeta e pubblicista, ha collaborato alle
pagine culturali dei quotidiani “Il Giornale”, “Il Corriere di Como”,
“L’Ordine”. Ha insegnato materie letterarie nelle scuole superiori della
provincia di Milano e della città di Como. Ha fondato e presiede l’Associazione
culturale “La Casa della Poesia di Como” ed è organizzatrice e curatrice del
Festival Internazionale “Europa in versi” che dal 2011 si tiene ogni anno a
Como. Ha pubblicato cinque libri di poesie, tradotti in varie lingue. Sue
poesie sono pubblicate in molte riviste e siti letterari italiani e stranieri.
È invitata a numerosi Festival Internazionali di poesia (Danimarca, Germania,
Romania, Kosovo, Colombia, Vietnam, Giappone, Corea ecc.).
